The Happy Face Killer

Keith Jesperson (The Happy Face Killer)
During the 1990’s Keith Jesperson took the lives of 8 women across America. He was a truck driver. He received several life sentences without the possibility of parole and is living out his days at the Oregon state penitentiary.

Todd Kohlhepp
Todd was a wealthy businessman and real estate broker with his own firm. He killed 5 people at a place called Super Bikes over an altercation and then 3 more people at his property in Woodruff, SC. He also held Kala Brown in a shipping container for over 60 days until she was found by law enforcement. Today he is housed in South Carolina at the Broad River Correctional center. Todd has a great sense of humor. His pieces are unique.

James Munro (Now Tina Munro)
Life takes us down different paths. James Munro is now transgender and is housed at Mule Creek prison in Ione, CA. Tina has a diminished capacity and according to her own words “I was tested when I was in school, and my IQ was only 78. I couldn’t read or write. I was considered borderline retarded.” When Tina was 18 years old and still James, she made her way from the Midwest to California where she met William Bonin, the infamous freeway killer who was responsible for the deaths of several young men in Southern California. William befriended James and got him off of the streets. They worked and lived together in Downey, CA. It wasn’t long before William Bonin brought a victim home. Out of fear and confusing, James helped William by holding down the feet of his victim. Then assisted in disposing of the body. James was given 15 years to life. We keep in contact with her on a regular basis and she is doing her best to be a better person. She has learned to read and to write as a way to better herself.

James (Jim) Ruzicka
James was deemed a sexual psychopath by the courts. You see, he was sent to a mental hospital after he raped two Seattle, Washington women in the 1970’s. At the time, the state of Washington had the option of sending sex offenders to a mental hospital if they deemed that they could be rehabilitated. Jame managed to escape the hospital and hid out as his ex-wife’s house for a while. James then went out and killed two teenaged girls. He hung one of the girls from a tree and hid the other girl in a field. He fled the state of Washington and went to Oregon where he raped a 13 year old girl. He was caught and sent back to Washington state. He was sentenced to 2 consecutive life terms.

Keith Hunter Jesperson
AKA The Happy Face Killer
Death comes in many forms. For Keith, it was strangulation. His first victim was at his home in Portland, Oregon. From there he used his job as a truck driver to kill women across the USA. He is incarcerated at the Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem, Oregon. He spends his days drawing and painting. His skills with colored pencils are simply amazing to say the least. I am sure that you will agree that his artwork is well worth the price as an investment.

James Munro/Tina Munro
James/Tina assisted serial killer William (Bill) Bonin in the disposal of the body of Steven Wells. James/Tina also held down the legs of Steven Wells as he was murdered by William Bonin. It is worth noting that Munro has a diminished IQ and may not have truly understood what was happening as Steven Wells was being murdered. James is currently undergoing gender reassignment to fully become Tina. Munro is currently housed at the Mule Creek prison in California. Munro has a very unique collection of artwork ranging from superheroes that she draws to skulls and angels. She also makes beautiful handmade roses from paper stock that she soaks in wax and forms into the beautiful roses.

Todd Kohlhepp
Todd was a wealthy real estate broker in South Carolina. He also liked firearms. His first kills were at a place called Super Bikes in South Carolina. According to Todd, they had admitted to him that they had stolen the very motorcycle that they had sold to them and said, “What are you going to do about it”. Todd waited and plotted over the course of several months before waiting until no one was in the store except for the owners and the mechanic. Then there was a couple by the name if Megan and Johnny. He took them to his property in Woodruff, SC to help him to some work. According to Todd, Johnny tried to stab and rob him. In the end, he killed them as well. Last was Kala Brown and her boyfriend Charlie. He had admits to jumping the gun (no pun intended) on them after hearing that they had planned to rob him as well. He shot Charlie and kept Kala in a Conex storage container for over 60 days. Kala was found by the police and released. Todd creates handmade bracelets as well as other hand made things. He authenticates his items with his thumb print in ink on the attached tag.
